Ultrasonographer

 

Job Overview
Rachel Rubin MD PLLC is seeking a skilled per diem Ultrasound Technician with expertise in abdominal and pelvic ultrasounds for a once-a-month ultrasound weekday at our pelvic medicine private practice. If you are passionate about providing quality patient care and have a strong background in gynecologic and urologic imaging, we would love to hear from you!

Duties

  • Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and penile scans.

  • Utilize aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate any concerns.

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care decisions.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology.

  • Ensure proper operation of ultrasound equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.

  • Document patient information accurately in medical records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques through continuous education.

 

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

  • Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to sonography.

  • Proficiency in performing various ultrasound examinations, particularly in Ob/Gyn settings is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

  • Ability to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring comfort during procedures.

  • Familiarity with diagnostic radiology practices is an asset.
